Colorado Weather

Colorado Weather - A Hidahl - 2015 - ?
Colorado Weather

A beautiful Saturday morning.
A weather front moves in, obscuring the mountains from view.
After a few hours of snow and wind, the sky clears;
just in time for a beautiful sunset,
behind the freshly-snown mountains.

Colorado Puff

Colorado Puff - A. Hidahl - 2015 - ?

Smoking in the car
Take a COLORADO puff!
Light the bowl
and fill your lungs!

Don't stop
Until you can't take any more!
Put the bong aside
And choke on the dirty air!

Hold it for a second
And release!
Empty your lungs
And fill the car with ease!

Load the bowl again
And pass it to your best friend!
Give him a light
And let him get bent!

Chill with some music
And a view of the sunset!
Before you grab some dinner
And get your favorite Mexican plate!

But first,
One more rip
So we can really
TASTE this shit!

Fill your stomach
And feel good!

 This Friday,

Next Friday,

We'll grab some food
After we smoke some bud!

Colorado Music ***EPILEPSY WARNING!!!***

Colorado Music - 2015 - A. Hidahl - ?

Welcome to MY FIRST PUBLISHED GIF!!!

As you well know by now, I LOVE working with the Colorado flag!

Also, being a life-long Colorado resident, I'm also a big fan of Colorado's vibrant and constantly-evolving music scene!  Colorado has been home to some of the BEST local music; even if it hasn't gotten the attention of places like Seattle, New York, and California.

Back in the 90's, I was introduced to local music through bands like Warlock Pinchers, Seraphim Shock, The Descendents/All, Foreskin 500, and Five Iron Frenzy.

Over time, Denver and Colorado's music grew and molded itself into a diverse galaxy of sound, unique presentation, and OUTSTANDING performance quality across all bands and genres.  A few years ago, we had our first Grammy Award-winning artist, The Lumineers!

My love for the local flavor grew and expanded with introductions to MF Ruckus, Black Dots, and The Windermeres; and as time goes on, I'm sure that more musicians and artists will add their names to the growing roster of Colorado's amazingly talented and organic field!

Bands like ITCHY-O will surely pave the way for the future of music and artistic presentation, and bands like the aforementioned MF Ruckus will go on to take the WORLD by storm with their relentless tour schedule and growing base of fans!

My dedication to Colorado, it's music, and it's people are undying and unyielding! Our music scene will ALWAYS remain vibrant and strong, being one of the growing cultural centers of the US!

LONG LIVE COLORADO MUSIC!!!!!

Colorado Flag Exhaling - (c)2015 - A Hidahl - ?

As a proud Coloradan, I take PRIDE in our great State's legalization of marijuana,
and the good that it's done for our tax base, schools, and growth as a society!

I take PRIDE in the positive changes it's brought!

I take PRIDE in the fact that it's helping to increase our cultural base!

I take PRIDE in the fact that we now have the highest number of emerging artists IN THE NATION!

I take PRIDE in the horticultural craft and perfectionism of our local growers!

I take PRIDE in the trail-blazing nature of Colorado!

I take PRIDE in the growing artistic culture around glass-blowing!

There's a lot to be PROUD of, as a Colorado pot smoker!!!

Keep on smokin'!

303 Smiles

303 Smiles, by AHidahl

Denver, Colorado has a lot to offer, to the person who isn't afraid to look away from the path they walk on.

Look up.

Look around.

The more you do, the more cool stuff you'll see.

Redtail Hawks, Golden Eagles, and Peregrine Falcons are more common than some people realize, or are willful to observe.

Some of the most talented artists in the WORLD reside in Denver!  Their/our work can be found in more places than just galleries and art festivals... you'll find it everywhere you're not looking, and in more of the places you're looking past.

It's not hard to find wildlife here... raccoons, foxes, deer, muskrats, beavers...

... and just like the hidden smiles that come from seeing the things that only last a few seconds, there are several hidden smiles in this depiction of the Colorado flag!  Some of them are kind of abstract and need a little imagination to see them, but they're there... trust me.

Colorado Flags

***THIS POST WILL BE EDITED AS MORE WORK IS CREATED***

I LOVE making Colorado flags!

The design of the flag leaves for a lot of creative dialogue with the shapes. It becomes easy to create things that play nicely with the shapes in creative and original ways.

As you'll see, my focus has typically been on adapting mountain designs into the flag, being that I have a profound love of the mountains and hiking, and of Colorado's natural beauty.  That being said, the shapes, in general, offer a lot of playful intrigue; and can be adapted in a wide variety of ways.

Enjoy!
